THANKSGIVING DAY

THANKSGIVING DAY
(Thursday, November 23, USA-Thanksgiving Day)

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Cor 6:2)

This Thanksgiving Day, my friends in the USA and everywhere else, I am thankful for my ever-changing life. Even for the changes that are like the ones that the trees are going through now, in the fall. I mean, the changes that have stripped my own “trees,” my own particular crosses, of their previous foliage.

God blesses our cross-carrying journeys with and through *time*, which brings both losses and gains, both death and renewal. Let me accept with gratitude the losses and deaths today, as I re-embrace faith in the new life and renewal that is always coming to those who love God. Let me have the eyes to see what and whom God is sending me *now*, which is called the “present” because it is a gift.🙂

Thank You, God, for all those reading this right now; for my homeland the USA; for my present home in Vienna; and for these times, our times. Let gratitude enlighten my perspective, that I may have the eyes to see and the wisdom to grasp each moment, as an opportunity for renewal and new growth. “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation!” Thank You, Lord, for my here and now.
