Who shall separate us from the love of God? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, ‘For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom 8: 35-39)

So let my focus be God-centered today, if human beings, however important and dear to me, or certain matters, close to my heart, fail to meet my expectations. Let me accept, in faith and love, the presence of God in Christ Jesus our Lord, amidst all the human words and behaviours, including my own, which fall short of “Him who loved us.”

Today I take some time to re-connect with Him, in heartfelt prayer, because… Well, simply because I can. He is always there, always unchanging, in His undying love for all of us. “Who shall separate us from the love of God?” Glory be to Him.
